About the resort
Hvar is an island in the Adriatic Sea, in southern Croatia, near the Dalmatian coast. The island of Hvar is known as the sunniest island of the Adriatic. The many attractions, beautiful nature and mild climate make it an attractive resort. The main occupation of the local population is tourism service, fishing and viticulture. Lavender is grown in large quantities on Hvar, which has become a symbol of the island and the most popular souvenir among tourists. Charming bays and beaches, crystal-clear sea made Hvar an elite tourist center.
At the entrance to the harbor of the city a unique view opens up: a fertile hill, on top of which is a castle with towers rising above the magnificent city with beautiful palaces that are rich in the cultural heritage of Hvar.
Especially beautiful: the theater, one of the oldest in Europe; St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the clock tower and the building of the former arsenal. This picturesque and vibrant city, with narrow streets and squares full of life, occupies a separate place in the literary heritage of Croatia.
