1. PREVELI BEACH (OR FINIKAS)
\nPreveli has taken its name from the monastery located 2 km away and it is one of\u00a0the highlights of Crete! The walk down to the beach is not that easy (not that difficult\u00a0either) however it offers amazing views of the Libyan sea. The beach itself is\u00a0something else. Lovely waters and earie rocks, and a scenic palm forest should\u00a0convince you this is the best beach in Rethymno!<\/p>\n
2. KALYPSO BEACH
\nKalipso is probably nothing like any other beach you have experienced in Crete. It is\u00a0not your traditional beach as it has no sand, but sand is overrated! Kalipso is a\u00a0beach resort build on steep rocks with marvelous green\/blue waters that are perfect\u00a0for scuba diving. Truly a unique experience not to be missed!<\/p>\n
Kalypso beach is located on south of Rethymno between Plakias village and Preveli\u00a0beach. Kalypso is very impressive to say the least as it is surrounded by high rocks.
\nThe small port was used as shelter by pirates about 300 years ago.
\nKalypso Cretan Village is a hotel complex by the beach that has organised the area\u00a0with umbrellas and sunbeds that are also open to non-residents. \u039aalypso Dive Center & School also operates at the beach if You wish to discover the deep blue waters of the Lybiad Sea!<\/p>\n
3. KLISIDI BEACH<\/p>\n
Klisisdi beach is located on the southern part of Rethymno and resembles Seitan\u00a0Limania in Chania. It is a private beach with turquoise waters that in contrast with\u00a0Seitan Limania is not as busy. It is occupied sometimes by nudists, just to give you aheads up!<\/p>\n
4. BALI BEACH
\nBali doesn\u2019t have a single beach, it has four different ones. Livadi, Karavostasi, Bali\u00a0and Varkotopos beach. However they have included as one as they are of very\u00a0similar quality, clean, organised with umbrellas and sunbeds and facilities. Bali also\u00a0offers plenty of waters sport activities to suit all!<\/p>\n
5. AMMOUDI BEACH
\nAmmoudi is another beach located on the south of Crete between Plakias and\u00a0Preveli. It is a popular beach however thankfully not too popular that combines a\u00a0leangthy beach and lovely green\/blue waters.
