Day 1
Skopje (30 km)

Arrival at Skopje airport. Transfer to the hotel. Take a short sightseeing tour of your hotel’s surroundings – get helpful tips from your guide. Accommodation. Dinner, overnight.

Day 2
Skopje (20 km)

Breakfast. After breakfast visit Vodno Mountain. Ascent to the top of the mountain by cable car, to a height of 1067 m. Where there is a huge metal Millennium Cross. This place offers a breathtaking view of the capital of the Republic of Macedonia – Skopje and the surrounding mountains. Sightseeing tour; Visit to the old railway station – the first station in the Balkans; Statue of Mother Teresa; A stone bridge; Church of the Holy Savior (Holy Salvation), which is famous for the fact that the remains of the great Macedonian revolutionary Gotse Delchev are buried there, the Kale Fortress; Free time for lunch at the Old Bazaar and tasting our traditional dishes. Wine tour, optional, not far from Skopje with a tasting of our special wines. Dinner and overnight in Skopje.

Day 3
Skopje - Tetovo - Mavrovo - Ohrid (200 km)

After a casual breakfast drive west to Mavrovo. Panoramic view of the Mavrovo National Park, which is one of the most attractive tourist centers in Macedonia. In and near the Mavrovo National Park there is the most famous village of Galichnik, and behind it is the monastery of St. John the Baptist (St. John the Baptist), where we will have free time for lunch. We continue driving to Ohrid. Accommodation at a hotel by the lake.
Dinner, overnight.

Day 4
Ohrid - Sightseeing - Sveti Naum - Ohrid (30 km)

Breakfast. After breakfast, sightseeing in Ohrid. Ohrid is a very ancient city located on the shores of Lake Ohrid. It is rich in monuments from different historical periods. Due to its historical value, the city and the lake are included in the UNESCO list as a World Heritage Site. On the main square of Ohrid, next to the port, there are monuments to the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, who developed the Glagolic alphabet, and their disciples, Saints Clement and Saint Naum. Ohrid’s old town has many typical and traditional buildings as well as historic churches. One of the most important is the 11th century Hagia Sophia. Its walls are decorated with frescoes from that period. The tour continues to the Ancient Theater, built in the 3rd or 2nd century. BC. Visit to the 13th century Church of the Holy Mother of God Periveptos and the world famous icon gallery, where icons from the 11th to the 19th century are kept and displayed. On the top of the Ohrid hill stands the fortress of King Samuel. From the top of the towers, tourists can enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Ohrid and Lake Ohrid. Visit to Plaoshnik, where in the late 9th – early 10th centuries. St. Clement founded the first Slavic University. On this site there is an early Christian basilica (4th-6th centuries), the floor of which is decorated with mosaics. The tour continues towards the Church of St. John Kaneo. This church is located on a cliff right above Lake Ohrid. Return to the city center and take a boat ride (optional boat or speedboat) on Lake Ohrid and visit the complex of the monastery of St. Naum, which is located near the border with the Republic of Albania. The largest springs of Lake Ohrid are located in the area of ​​the monastery. As part of the Galichitsa National Park, they represent untouched nature. The best way to enjoy the beauty is on a small boat ride. From the boat you can see the bubbles created by the water coming out of the ground, you can listen to the singing of birds and admire the colors of nature. Traditional lunch (optional) in the monastery restaurant or in the restaurant located on the pantones directly above the crystal clear water by the springs. Return to Ohrid. Lunch, overnight.

Day 5
Ohrid - Vevchany - Ohrid (50 km)

Breakfast, after breakfast free day. Visit to the city of Struga with a local guide. You will have a unique opportunity to experience art, rich nature, differences and similarities of multicultural villages in western Macedonia. During this trip, you will first visit the city of poetry – Struga. The excursion starts from one of the most beautiful places in Struga, the place where the Black Dream river flows out of Lake Ohrid. You will walk along the river bank to the main shopping street – Turkish Bazaar and visit the memorial house of the Miladinov brothers, Macedonian poets and folklorists who laid the foundations of the Macedonian literary tradition. Visit to a house located in the old part of the city of the 18th century. At the end of this half of the day we will finish the big tour in Vevchany. Visit the largest natural springs in this village and optional lunch in a traditional ethno restaurant with traditional food. Return to the hotel. Free time. Overnight.

Day 6

Breakfast. After breakfast, free time to explore Ohrid on your own. Optional: Balkan Night dinner with traditional food and folk dances. Overnight

Day 7
Ohrid - Matka Canyon - Skopje (210 km)

Breakfast. After breakfast, departure to Skopje. Arrival to the canyon of the Treska – Matka river. Walking along the canyon, visiting the Church of St. Andrea from the 14th century. Boat trip to the picturesque Vrelo cave, rich in stalactites and stalagmites. Free time for lunch (optional). Departure to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Skopje.

Day 8
Skopje - Airport (50 km)

Breakfast. Free time depends on your flight schedule, we can visit the Old Bazaar and the New Market for shopping.
